We Believe

WE BELIEVE there is one and only one living and true God, and infinite sovereign Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth; that in the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption

WE BELIEVE that Jesus is God. He became man without ceasing to be God. He was born of the virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice in providing an unlimited atonement for the sins of the whole world. 

Our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. He ascended to heaven 40 days after His ressurection, and is now exhalted at the right hand of God, where as the High Priest, He fulfils the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate. 

We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and are thereby children of God and are eternally saved.

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He ministers in salvation as He convicts. He regenerates, idwells, seals, and baptizes new believers. The Holy Spirit gifts, controls, guides, assures and prays for believers. Is is the privilege of all believers to live a Spirit filled life.

WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures comprising the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired, and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The vision of The Beacon is Building, Empowering and Affecting Communities Of the Nations.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are enabled to reflect the true meaning of Jesus Christ, so all may discover how to live life as it should be.

 We Value

WE DESIRE TO PURSUE GOD

We desire to know Gods presence, to follow and hear Him. We desire to show the mercy of God to the body of Christ and to those whom we may minister too outside the church.

WE DESIRE TO BE LIKE CHRIST

We desire to walk in Jesus' love, grace, mercy, truth, and power. We strive to see His appearance shinning through all that we are and all that we do.

WE DESIRE TO BE SPIRIT LED

The Holy Spirit is our Counselor, Helper, Guide and Gifts each believer. We desire the Soverign leadership of the Holy Spirit in our personal lives, and our ministries in the this local church. We wish to find and use the gifts that He has given us, so the saints can be edified and the kingdom of God extended.

WE DESIRE DISCIPLESHIP

We want to teach all of Gods children to believe the "Word." To obey His commandments and do His work. We aim to grow as disciples of Christ and to make disciples of others.

WE DESIRE TO PRAY

We believe prayer is indispensible, it is our means to communicate with God.

WE DESIRE TO LIVE IN LIBERTY

We want to embrace the freedom to follow Jesus through the Holy Spirit who guides us. We desire to dwell in the grace of God rather than being subjected to legalistic standards that man applies.

WE DESIRE INTEGRITY

We desire to live a life of purity. We believe it is important to speak truthfully, and deal honestly in all facets of life.

WE DESIRE TO BE SERVANT LEADERS

We believe Christ has put authority in the hands of the pastor(s) and leadership. We aim to exercise that authority with grace, humility, selflessness, care for the people and a faithful desire to build the Body of Christ. We also desire that the membership of The Beacon confirm Gods Divine will through unity in decision making.

WE DESIRE TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

We are blessed by all who attend "The Beacon." We aim to work together to build the church through the vision that God has given us. We desire to build relationships through respect, clear communication, vision oriented cooperation and treating God's children with the love of Christ.

WE DESIRE TO BE RELEVANT

We wish to develop an open and relaxed atmosphere, to speak, and act in ways which society can respond. This can be reflected through music which is relevant but also brings honour to God.
