Want a Ride to Church?
If you need a ride to church on Sunday Morning, then phone or text 021 1600924 by 9:15 and we will come and pick you up between then and 9:45. This service opperates between Drury and Takanini. (Sorry, this service has no wheel chair access).
How Do I Dress?
What you wear to The Beacon is up to you. Dress ranges from "smart causal" to jeans and a t-shirt. Don't worry about what you wear, just come and meet a bunch of people who want to get to know you.
What Do I Bring?
If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If not, then just come along and bring a friend if you like!
Where Do My Children Go?
We all gather together for worship. During the message the kids (4-12) go to "Praise Land." this is an awesome time of Bible teaching that is related to each age group.
0-3 to "Giggles." Giggles is a safe environment where the little ones can listen to worship songs for kids, play on bouncy castles and other fun stuff. Giggles is located only a few foot steps from the hall. If you prefer for your kids to stay with you during the message, then that's fine as well.
Will I Be Singled Out?
At the front door, one of our ushers will give you a sincere and warm welcome and a notice sheet. You will probably be greeted by several other people in the church…because we just like to meet people!
You will not be publically singled out in any way. We know attending a new church sometimes can be a bit scary. You'll not be asked to introduce yourself, to give anything in the collection, or pressured to make any decisions. We'll be glad to have you and honoured that you have chosen to be with us.
What Happens After Church?
We love to build relationships, so if you desire you can stay for a perculated coffee, tea or juice and a yummie muffin or similar, then feel free to do so. This is a no pressure atmosphere so don't worry, allow us to bless you!
There is also a table at the back where you can pick up free resources.
Who Goes To The Beacon?
The Beacon's DNA is made up of babies to seniors and everyone in between. We have faimilies, singles and an awesome bunch of teens as well. We are multicultural with the nations of Samoa, Sth Africa, the Philippines, Brunei, and New Zealand represented.
Where Do I Park?
Sunday's: When you see our sign on Settlement Rd then just drive in the gates and you will find parking. Look for the sign that says "office" and head towards it. To your right you will see some teal coloured doors, that's where we are.
Where Are Your Offices?
Our office is on the corner of East St & Elliot St in the Papakura CBD. We are situated above "colourplus."
Entrance is on East St right next to "colourplus." Go up the stairs and we are the first door on the left. Parking can be found on East St.
Our office is open Monday - Thursday between 9:30 & 2:00 (till the end of January our offices will not be open as per normal).
